JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual with a passion for helping our members and clients improve their lives, physically and mentally, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fitness, able to inspire and motivate others, have a desire to change lives, and be flexible with job responsibilities. The Strength and Conditioning Coach will be responsible for developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs that enhance athletic performance, reduce injury risk, and promote overall physical fitness for athletes. Additionally, in this role, the coach will design and develop your own programming, help maintain a clean and organized facility, and participate in community activities to promote our programs.
Candidates must be willing to learn and grow in the position, have initiative, be able to talk to people you do not know, and be able to easily develop rapport and cultivate relationships within the gym community.
KEY ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program Development: Design and implement sport-specific strength, conditioning, and flexibility programs tailored to individual athletes/clients. Ensure that programs align with the goals of the athletes.
- Instruction and Supervision: Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques, equipment use, including weightlifting, conditioning drills, and recovery practices. Monitor athletes during training sessions (individual and group) to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Performance Monitoring: Assess athletes' physical abilities through fitness testing and evaluations/assessments. Track progress and adjust programs as needed to optimize performance outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Personal Trainer to coordinate training schedules, address individual athlete needs, programming, and manage rehabilitation programs, if needed.
- Education: Educate athletes on topics such as nutrition, injury prevention, and proper recovery techniques to support overall health and performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest research and developments in strength and conditioning. Continuously seek to improve and innovate training methods and programs.
- Culture: Establish a fun and community focused club culture that delivers high member and client satisfaction, results, and retention.
- Assist in keeping the club clean for optimal member satisfaction
- Attend team meetings and functions
- Oversee the maintenance and organization of the facility. Ensure equipment is safe, clean, and in good working order.
- Help plan, promote and attend special events inside the club and community events outside of the club, promoting our programs and services
- Create monthly game plans to ensure the club's success in attaining the monthly revenue goals and objectives
- Responsible for the successful attainment of club targets (e.g. fitness services, revenue, and PT retention)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and nutrition.

- Willingness to thoroughly learn Snap Fitness’ policies and procedures and desire to continually learn new training, fitness, nutrition, and leadership principles
- Must have working knowledge of basic computer software including Word, Excel, email, and the aptitude to learn Snap Fitness' proprietary software program. Experience in social media (Facebook, Instagram) is desired
- Working towards a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or similar field of study
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) OR equivalent certification required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications
- Hours are subject to change based on season, client retention, scheduled events, etc. You must have the ability to be flexible with your schedule
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license to apply
