Snap Fitness in Corning is looking for an enthusiastic member success manager! This position is ideal for a candidate who is looking to expand her/his leadership in wellness program management, client success and satisfaction.

The Member Success Manager is responsible for retaining current members and producing consistent monthly sales of new memberships to surpass all goals and expectations. The Member Success Manager must display, have knowledge of and participate in company services, programs, and products and must be knowledgeable of current industry trends and competitors.

Qualifications: College degree from an accredited university in health science, physical education or any fitness or related field.
Certifications in lieu of a College degree: American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM); American Council on Exercise (ACE) or the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Preferred certifications include: Certified Personal Trainer, Health Fitness Specialist or Clinical Exercise Physiologist

2-3 years of experience of professional work experience in the fitness and health industry working directly with clients in helping them achieve their fitness goals.

Must be able to work independently but still be connected and follow protocols and procedures.

  • Experience managing and maintaining a fitness facility is highly desired.

(CPR/First Aid Certifications must be completed within the first 90-days of employment)

FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

  • Deliver the ultimate fitness experience to every member, every time
  • Recruit and retain new club members
  • Attain membership sales and revenue goals
  • Create and manage a monthly or weekly schedule of client appointments, classes, workshops, etc.
  • Meet, greet, and work the floor during select times
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as assigned
  • Aid in the management of facility software, supplying reports monitoring activities and programs of the facility to maintain accurate financial and statistical records.
  • Conduct service appointments with members which includes body fat analysis, nutritional counseling, proper use of fitness equipment, and proper form of exercises.
  • Advise members on ways to achieve their fitness goals.
  • Develop individualized exercise programs consistent with our members’ personal fitness and exercise goals.
  • Continually monitor and assist members to ensure proper form is used when performing exercises.
  • Ensure facility cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Responsible for achieving monthly revenue goal established by management team.
  • Partner with sales/management team to help new members achieve their fitness goals with personal training.
  • Provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for members, guests, and co-workers.
  • Help retain and attain new members through club promotion and customer service excellence.
  • Help integrate new members within the first 30 days of joining. All members are to receive a personalized workout upon completion of the onboarding session.
  • General knowledge of management, program development, promotion, and budgeting.
  • General knowledge and experience in planning, prioritizing, and organizing a changing workload.
  • Ability to multi-task and provide exceptional customer service to the public with professional and effective communication skills.
  • Previous experience in both development and leading fitness activities/programs for a membership-based facility preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with co-workers, the public, members & guests and other departments and agencies.
  • The ability to effectively manage facility programming software, use of a personal computer, including word processing, copy and electronic viewing devices, phone, social media, and various other technology.
  • CPR/First Aid, follow all safety protocols, and mandatory reporting requirements.
Compensation: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
