Certifications in lieu of a College degree: American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM); American Council on Exercise (ACE) or the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Preferred certifications include: Certified Personal Trainer, Health Fitness Specialist or Clinical Exercise Physiologist
- Experience managing and maintaining a fitness facility is highly desired.

- Attain membership sales and revenue goals
- Create and manage a monthly or weekly schedule of client appointments, classes, workshops, etc.
- Meet, greet, and work the floor during select times
- Serve as Manager on Duty as assigned
- Aid in the management of facility software, supplying reports monitoring activities and programs of the facility to maintain accurate financial and statistical records.
- Conduct service appointments with members which includes body fat analysis, nutritional counseling, proper use of fitness equipment, and proper form of exercises.
- Advise members on ways to achieve their fitness goals.
- Develop individualized exercise programs consistent with our members’ personal fitness and exercise goals.
- Continually monitor and assist members to ensure proper form is used when performing exercises.
- Ensure facility cleanliness and tidiness.
- Responsible for achieving monthly revenue goal established by management team.
- Partner with sales/management team to help new members achieve their fitness goals with personal training.
- Provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for members, guests, and co-workers.
- Help retain and attain new members through club promotion and customer service excellence.
- Help integrate new members within the first 30 days of joining. All members are to receive a personalized workout upon completion of the onboarding session.
- General knowledge of management, program development, promotion, and budgeting.
- General knowledge and experience in planning, prioritizing, and organizing a changing workload.
- Ability to multi-task and provide exceptional customer service to the public with professional and effective communication skills.
- Previous experience in both development and leading fitness activities/programs for a membership-based facility preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with co-workers, the public, members & guests and other departments and agencies.
- The ability to effectively manage facility programming software, use of a personal computer, including word processing, copy and electronic viewing devices, phone, social media, and various other technology.
- CPR/First Aid, follow all safety protocols, and mandatory reporting requirements.
